The building at the Papagenoplatz in which the Zirkelwirt is situated, was rebuilt in 1950 after it had been destroyed by a bombing on 16th october in 1944. Following the rebuild, Roland Gruber and his team moved in and have been serving good old austrian cuisine including a traditional ambience ever since.
The popular restaurant ‚S’Nockerl‘ impresses just as much. It is famous for its‘ original Salzburger Nockerln and serves a variety of salzburger as well as austrian delicacies. Its‘ location couldn’t be more central, for it is only a stone‘s throw away from the Mozart Geburtshaus, birthplace of Mozart.
The Soliman’s Bar is the place to be for a calm and relaxing evening. Their home-made products as well as first class cocktails are served in a casually classic atmosphere. The brand Elephant Gin partnered with Soliman’s Bar and donates 15% of each bottles‘ profit to the Big Life Foundation and Space for Elephant’s Foundation, both of which are associations who fight for protection of african elephants.
The Andreas Weinstube is known for its‘ outstanding cuisine as well as high-quality selection of wines from different regions of the country. It is frequented by locals and visitors alike. The building in which the establishment is located in the Steingasse 65, is over a hundred years old and is therefore one of Salzburgs‘ most precious and richest in tradition restaurants.
